Areas of Competition
The Palm Springs Pageant™ is a traditional beauty pageant for everyone, young women of all single
girls who are ages between 13 to 17 Teens & Miss 17 to 26 who reside within the Coachella Valley
Areas of competition include Personal Introduction, Stage presentation, Teen in a Nice Dress, Miss in a
Business suit.
Personal introduction - Use this for the personal introduction (40%).
Teen & Miss Palm Springs™ titleholders must be articulate with excellent social and conversational skills.
Titleholders Must be able to express them selves clearly, diplomatically, and must project a pleasant personality at all times.
* Focuses primarily on delegates' personal information (e.g., hobbies, ambition, etc.) but may include opinion questions that
require general knowledge of social and current events.
* Wear a business suit, for the on stage personal presentation competition.
***Judging criteria: conversational skill, personality, demeanor, beauty, grooming, and fashion sense.
Modeling in long formal wear - this will be the overall body (30%).
Teen & Miss Palm Springs™ titleholders must exemplify a lifestyle of good physical, emotional and intellectual
health. Winners should be physically fit, with body proportion. Teen & Miss Palm Springs™ titleholders must carry them selves with confidence and grace.
Delegates will model a T- Length or flour length formal wear.
Judging criteria: Stage presentation, poise, comfortable casual modeling, personality, beauty, grooming and
fashion sense…Formal will is your choice of style and color
On Stage Question: (20%) Each delegate will answer a question on the stage
Photogenic (10%). Miss Palm Springs Pageant. Relies heavily upon local, state and other advertising
in industry publications and the Internet to promotion the City of Palm Springs. Therefore, titleholders must possess photogenic appeal and ability to project an image consistent with beauty and elegance. Photo requirements: Color photo of your choice* At least 4 X 6 0r 5X7, no larger than 8X10 * Head & Shoulder with a clear background, no hats or etc. Must be of good quality and clarity. Judging criteria: photogenic appeal, photo quality and clarity.
SPECIAL INFORMATION. Each delegate must submit at least two pictures in color, and different poses
for each …I suggest that you send extra photographs. The Judges will view the photographs prior to your personal interview session.
Delegates photographs will appear on the Miss Palm Springs Web Page, the pictures may be picked up after the
pageant they will not be returned by mailed.
OPTIONAL: In case there are not enough entries received by the pageant entry deadline to offset the
production expenses of a live competition the selection for the 2010 Teen & Miss Palm Springs will be chosen during a Special Judges Luncheon where all delegates will wear a nice dress of their choosing for style and color.
Remember to complete your official entry form completely and attach additional pages on personal information that
you would like the judges to know, such as school, civic and charitable associations.
